How my journey began

My name is Heather Mitchell. I have been a stay at home mom for eight years. When my first child was born my husband worked 12hrs shifts. Those made for the longest and loneliest days. I understand how isolating and demanding postpartum can be.

When my boys began school I finally found the time to start my journey of self discovery and self care. The self care practices I use for myself are meditation, affirmations, light stretching, and journaling. Mental health is extremely important to me and I believe that a little “me time” can go a long way in preventing mental distress.

It is my mission to provide birth parents with self care practices that are attainable with my support. I implement healing practices to make you feel whole physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

The medulla oblongata is a part of the brain. It helps regulate your autonomic nervous system. The autonomic nervous system controls sleep, relaxation, digestion, and elimination.
These functions suffer in the postpartum period and it is my job to nurture the birth person so that they can heal and be supported.

The clients I serve range from first time parents to families with older siblings. Everyone has a reason why they may need or want help and please know that you belong here just as much as anyone else.

“One of the best if not best parenting decision I’ve made. We had Heather come and help us for the first 7 weeks when we had our second baby and I truly can’t imagine how things would’ve gone without her help.

Knowing that twice a week we would have a second set of hands when my husband was working late to help calm the chaos and mess of our growing household brought me so much peace of mind and kept our home and family so, so happy that we ended up extending and asking Heather to come by more often than we originally planned.”
